CJ is a child with a disability that does not allow him to speak very many words. At age 16 he functioned more on a 10 or 11 year old level. He came to our camp and participated with the 4th/5th grade group. CJ quickly became the life of the camp! He danced to every song, played every game, and participated in every theme. All of the children from every group knew CJ and greeted him whenever they saw him. By the 2nd week of camp CJ was known as the child with a smile. Whenever you saw him he was waving & smiling, and asking you to dance. He attended every week of camp and was happy to arrive & sad to leave. He ended the summer by being our camper of the year.
