Doris Hill had a strong fear of the water growing up and 20 years ago signed up for a ‘Chicken of the Sea’ program at the YWCA. After a harrowing experience in the water she never went back. However in 1988 she was diagnosed with diabetes and after trying several spas, that came and went, she settled on the YMCA because of their financial stability. She felt they would always be around. She loves the many options available to get a full experience from the pool to the sauna to silver sneakers exercise class. What she didn’t count on was the many friends and close bonds. Tells others it’s the best place to enrich your life socially, physically, and spiritually.
